Seventeen members S.Coups, Jeonghan to resume activities following injuries
K-pop boy band Seventeen members S.Coups and Jeonghan will be resuming their activities following their injuries last year.
“S.Coups and Jeonghan have been receiving post-surgery care since their surgeries for knee and ankle injuries in August and December of last year, respectively,” said agency Pledis Entertainment on Feb. 23.

It added, “As a result of receiving constant care and taking sufficient rest, both artists have made a noticeable recovery. They have been cleared by medical professionals to resume their scheduled activities as long as they avoid straining their bodies.”
The agency said S.Coups and Jeonhan will resume their activities in March, including participating at Seventeen’s “Follow” Again tour in Incheon.
“As such, S.Coups and Jeonghan will participate in Seventeen’s activities starting March, including the SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ AGAIN TO INCHEON, all the while receiving regular medical check-ups. However, the extent to which they participate in certain stages or events may be limited, in order to prevent straining their injured areas. We ask for your generous understanding,” it said.
Pledis said, “We extend our sincere gratitude to the fans for supporting the recovery of S.Coups and Jeonghan. The company will continue to place the utmost priority on the health of our artists and do our best to support the artists’ recovery, ensuring they can return to their fans in good health.”
Last year, Pledis announced that on Aug. 10, S.Coups suffered “a tear to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the left knee during a content shoot.”
S.Coups got injured in the left knee “as he was landing while playing a ball game for a content shoot.”
“After receiving necessary pre-surgery medical treatment as recommended by the medical staff, he underwent surgery to restore his ACL and anterolateral ligament on Monday, Aug. 21,” it added.
It said, “The surgery was a success, and S.COUPS was discharged from the hospital on Thursday morning, the 24th, and has been resting since.”
According to the Mayo Clinic website, “An ACL injury is a tear or sprain of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) — one of the strong bands of tissue that help connect your thigh bone (femur) to your shinbone (tibia). ACL injuries most commonly occur during sports that involve sudden stops or changes in direction, jumping and landing — such as soccer, basketball, football and downhill skiing.”
Meanwhile, last Dec. 14, Pledis announced that “Jeonghan previously suffered an injury to his left ankle and has been receiving several conservative treatments. The artist was highly determined to participate in all activities prearranged for this year, so he continued his activities while getting regular checkups on his ankle with medical professionals.”
“While performing on the recent tour, Jeonghan’s ankle pain worsened. He immediately went to the hospital and was diagnosed by the medical staff as needing surgery. Accordingly, he was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday the 13th and underwent ankle surgery on the morning of Thursday the 14th. The surgery was successful, and Jeonghan is now recuperating.”
