P6.8-M shabu seized in Lanao del Sur buy-bust

COTABATO CITY â€“ Two drug pushers were arrested and one kilogram of suspected shabu valued at P6.8 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Maguing, Lanao del Sur on Wednesday, February 21.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Police Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the suspects, Jamel Merlosa Dimaporo, 29, of Masiu, Lanao del Sur, and Jalil Macaayong Ala, 19, of Barangay Bato-Bato, Maguing.

PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao chief Gil Cesario Castro said the suspects were big-time drug dealers operating in Lanao del Sur and nearby provinces.

Castro said the PDEA and police have seized a total of P10-million worth of shabu in recent buy-bust operations.

Two suspected drug pushers yielded 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million in Barangay Rosary Heights, this city, on Valentine's Day.

Suspects were identified as Kuyat Sansaluna Sangcala, 25, of Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao del Sur, and King Fahad Mantuwang Ganoy, 23, of Poblacion, Dalican, Maguindanao del Sur.

A suspected member of a local criminal group operating in Zamboanga del Sur, Nidsam Arsad Sulaiman, 49, of Barangay Benuatan, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur, was collared in Barangay Poblacion, this city, on February 12, and 50 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P340,000 were recovered from him.

A suspected drug den was dismantled in Barangay Rosary Heights here. Found from four suspects, including the drug den owner, were 25 grams of shabu worth P170,000.
