Lay Zhang, Lauv release new single 'Run Back to You'

Asian pop star Lay Zhang and American pop sensation Lauv collaborated and released the single “Run Back to You” on Feb. 23. 

"Run Back to You" presents a captivating blend of contemporary pop melodies and nostalgic retro vibes, promising to resonate with audiences worldwide.

Playing on romantic themes including the complications of relationships, Lay croons “All I do is run back to you / Why do we keep making the same mistakes?” over top Lauv’s sweet and heartfelt harmonies, intertwined with catchy building pop synths.

“‘Run Back To You’ is a new song that I made with my friend Lauv. It’s about learning from your past and growing from it all,” said Lay. 

He added, “We had so much fun making this together, and hope everyone can dance along.”

Lauv said “I met Lay on my first trip to Mainland China, he was the absolute best, and we made a song together. I can’t believe it’s finally coming out, let’s hope the world is ready for us!”

The music video for “Run Back to You” features a special appearance by YouTube streamer and digital sensation, Valkyrae, who brings joy and spirit to the video creative. The music video will be released at 8 p.m. KST (7 p.m. Philippine time) on Feb. 23. 

The collaboration between Lay Zhang, Lauv, and Valkyrae marks a convergence of talent from disparate realms within the entertainment industry, promising an unparalleled synergy that will undoubtedly captivate audiences.
