Huli ka! Man facing 6 rape cases arrested in Taguig

A man who is facing six criminal cases all related to rape was arrested by authorities in Taguig on Feb. 23.

The accused was identified by the police as alias Elwood, 29, truck driver, who is also the No. 2 top most wanted person in the Southern Police District (SPD), based on a report received by Director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes.

The Taguig Police’s Warrant and Subpoena Unit apprehended Elwood at about 7:25 a.m. in Barangay Central Bicutan.

His apprehension was carried out based on multiple warrants of arrest issued against him.

Elwood is facing six criminal cases, all related to rape under Revised Penal Code Article 266-A. The warrants of arrest were issued on Jan. 11 this year by Presiding Judge Mary Jane Valeza-Maranan of the Regional Trial Court Branch 5 in Lemery, Batangas, with no recommended bail.
