Former President Duterte remains top potential senatorial bet in latest Tangere 2025 election survey

Despite a slight decline, former President Rodrigo Duterte remained in the lead in Tangere’s 2025 senatorial survey, conducted from Feb. 7 to 10.

Duterte maintained his lead with 58 percent of the vote in the survey results released on Friday, Feb. 23, despite a 2 percent drop from last month’s 2025 senatorial survey.

“FPRRD (former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) gained majority support across demographics and areas, though he is leveraging on the support of Visayas and Mindanao, while he is observing significantly lower votes in North/Central Luzon—given recent spats with President Bongbong Marcos—and in South Luzon/Bicol, where he historically fares lower,” Tangere said in its report.

ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo came in second with a 55 percent voter preference, while former Senator Tito Sotto finished third with a 47 percent voter preference.

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go led the re-electionists after he coming in fourth place with a 46 percent voter preference.

Rounding off the top 12 will be former Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso (43 percent), Senator Manny Pacquiao (42 percent), Senator Pia Cayetano (41 percent), Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa (41 percent), Senator Imee Marcos (39 percent), physician and online health personality Willie Ong (38 percent), and Senator Francis Tolentino (37 percent).

Senator Lito Lapid (35 percent) was displaced by new poll participant broadcaster Ben Tulfo (36 percent) to round out the Top 12.

Lapid, Senator Bong Revilla Jr. (32 percent), Senator Panfilo Lacson (32 percent), former Vice President Leni Robredo (30 percent), and television personality Willie Revillame (29 percent), all came close to making the Top 12.

Tangere’s survey, which used a mobile-based respondent application, has a sample size of 2,400 participants.

The percentage of respondents was distributed throughout the country, with 12 percent coming from Metro Manila, 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.
