Construction foreman in Quiapo dies after acetylene tank exploded

A construction foreman died when an acetylene tank exploded in Quiapo, Manila on Wednesday, Feb. 21. 

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as Emilio Esplago. 

Witnesses said that at around 10:40 a.m., the victim was seen using a welding machine when the tank suddenly exploded at Estero de Quiapo, Barangay 385, Quiapo. 

The victim was rushed to the Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival due to multiple body injuries.
