Pateros Election Officer Armando Mallorca said despite efforts to convince the public to register, there has been a dearth of people coming to their office to sign up.
“Nakakalungkot kahit anong voter education mo walang pumapansin kahit mga Barangay official deadma. Sayang ang effort (It is saddening that no matter what voter education you do, no one notices even barangay officials deadma [they are ignoring]. The effort is wasted),” Mallorca posted on Facebook.
On his personal Facebook account, Mallorca has been doing a variety of things to convince people to register, including doing Facebook live, recording reels and posting photos.
