CEBU CITY – The provincial government of Bohol turned over musical instruments and sports equipment worth P1.4 million to three high schools under the Department of Education (DepEd)-Bohol.

The Tubigon West Central High School received sports equipment worth P500,000 while Cangawa National High School in Buenavista received media arts, music, and dance supplies amounting to P560,000.
Musical equipment and supplies worth P400,000 were also turned over to the Camayaan National High School in Loboc.
Provincial Board Member Lucille Lagunay, chairman of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Education, represented Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado during the turnover.
Lagunay described the turnover of arts and sports supplies as gifts of partnership of the DepEd and the provincial government.
She emphasized that education is prioritized under the leadership of Aumentado and Vice Gov. Dionisio Victor Balite.
Jaypee Ian Morgia, officer-in-charge head of the Education and Development Center, said the arts and sports supplies were facilitated through the Special Education Fund in 2023.
Dr. Casiana Caberte, DepEd-Bohol Schools Division superintendent, received the arts and sports supplies and thanked the provincial government for being a reliable partner of DepEd.
“These arts and sports supplies are not just learning resources but tools to foster talent, nurture passion, and create opportunities for learners to grow and develop,” said Dr. Carmela Restificar, Curriculum Implementation Division head.
