Newborn baby boy abandoned in Quezon church

MULANAY, Quezon – A abandoned newborn baby boy was found at the Saint Peter the Apostle Parish Church here on Tuesday night, February 20.

A Catholic faithful, Adelina Gonzales, was praying inside the church when she heard what seems like a baby crying at around 7:35 p.m.

Gonzales looked around and saw a baby crying underneath a statue. 

He was wrapped in baby cloth and Gonzales reported her discovery to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office. 

The MSWDO brought the baby to the Mulanay Rural Health Unit for checkup. 

Police and the MSWDO have joined hands to identify the baby’s mother.
