Hot, humid weather to persist in Palawan, VisMin — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Wednesday, Feb. 21 that hot and humid weather may continue to affect parts of Visayas and Mindanao, including Palawan, due to the warm easterly winds.

In PAGASA's 4 a.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Rhea Torres said most of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience hot and humid weather but there is still a high chance of rains in certain areas.
"Malaking bahagi ng Visayas, Palawan, Mindanao, makakaranas pa rin ng mainit at maalinsangang panahon ngayong araw (Huge parts of Visayas, Palawan, and Mindanao will still experience hot and humid weather today)," Torres said.
"Although sa northeastern portion ng Mindanao pati na rin sa southern portion ng eastern Visayas, asahan natin iyong mataas na tyansa ng maghapon na mga pag-ulan dulot ng epekto ng easterlies (Although in the northeastern portion of Mindanao, as well as in the southern portion of eastern Visayas, expect high chance of rains all day due to the effects of easterlies)," she added.
PAGASA said Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
It said flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas in times of moderate to heavy rains.
In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced due to the easterlies or localized thunderstorms.
The public is also warned of flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said high air temperatures may also be expected in some areas in the country including Metro Manila (22°C to 33°C); Tuguegarao City (21°C to 34°C); Legazpi City (24°C to 31°C); Kalayaan Islands (25°C to 33°C); Davao City (23°C to 33°C); Cebu City (26°C to 31°C); and Zamboanga City (24°C to 34°C).
