3 killed as motorcycle rams bus in Quezon

TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon – A motorcycle driver and his two back riders were killed in a collision with a passenger bus on the Quirino Highway in Barangay San Diego, this town, on Tuesday night, February 20.

Police identified the motorcycle driver as Dennis Rendiza Cambel of Ternate, Cavite. His two back riders are yet to be identified.

Investigation said the northbound black Suzuki Burgman motorcycle without license plates suddenly occupied the lane and crashed into the Bicol-bound Elavil Bus with license plates NBK-4409 driven by Gilberto Santos, 49.

Cambel sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

His back riders also sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Maria Lourdes Eleazar General Hospital here where they were declared dead.

Police took Santos into custody and faces appropriate case.
