2 hurt in QC road mishap

Two people were hurt in a road accident involving a winged van and a pickup truck along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City on Wednesday, February 21.

The driver and the attendant of the winged van sustained wounds and scratches.

Authorities have yet to disclose the drivers' names involved in the incident.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel responded to assist in manning traffic flow and remove the winged van blocking the road.

According to MMDA Officer-in-Charge Gabriel Go, the winged van lost its brake while traveling along the C-5 Katipunan.

It crashed into the center island, overturned, and hit the pickup truck.

They were immediately assisted by the local ambulance for first aid, he added.

At 2:44 p.m., the vehicles were brought to the Traffic Bureau Quezon City Sector 3.
