SINGAPORE - Public on sale for tickets to Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s musical blockbuster Miss Saigon will go on sale at 10 am on Friday, Feb. 23 via Marina Bay Sands Ticketing, SISTIC and Klook.

Presented in Singapore by Base Entertainment Asia in association with GWB Entertainment, Miss Saigon will play at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, from Aug. 15 for a strictly limited season.

Maybank is the Official Preferred Payment Partner for Miss Saigon and Cardmembers will enjoy priority access to purchase tickets from today, Feb. 20 until Thursday, Feb. 22 with a 15 percent discount across all categories and show dates on Klook channels exclusively. Klook is the Official Regional Ticketing Partner for Miss Saigon in Singapore.

Those who signed up for the Base Entertainment Asia waitlist will receive a direct mailer with a 15 percent discount to purchase tickets from Wednesday, Feb. 21. T&Cs apply.

Winner of 70 major theatre awards including two Olivier Awards, three Tony Awards and four Drama Desk Awards, Miss Saigon has been described as one of the greatest musicals of all time. From the creators of Les Misérables, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Miss Saigon has been seen by 38 million people and performed in 15 different languages, in over 32 countries and 350 cities.

Miss Saigon features an extraordinary cast of talented performers from across the Asia-Pacific region led by Seann Miley Moore as the Engineer, Nigel Huckle as Chris, Sarah Morrison as Ellen, Laurence Mossman as Thuy, Lewis Francis as John, Kiara Dario as Gigi and Abigail Adriano as Kim, who joins the likes of Lea Salonga, Monique Wilson, Joanna Ampil, Carla Guevara-Laforteza and Eva Noblezada who have played the iconic role of Kim on Broadway and West End.

Raised in Singapore, Louisa Vilinne also joins the company as an alternate Kim. Vilinne recently played the cover role of Zoe and Mei in the State Theatre Company South Australia’s Single Asian Female. Miss Saigon marks her first international tour.

I can’t wait to see them up on the Sands Theatre stage for the first time as I have no doubt it’ll be one of the most unforgettable productions of Miss Saigon we have ever seen”.

Miss Saigon tells the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim, who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For 3 years, Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he’s fathered a son.

Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Miss Saigon opened in London in May 2014 to record-breaking advance sales and critical acclaim. It then opened on Broadway and a hugely successful US Tour followed.

Miss Saigon has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. A spectacular full 17-piece orchestra brings to life Miss Saigon’s captivating scores including classic hits like The Heat is On in Saigon, The Movie in My Mind, Last Night of the World and American Dream.

The new production is directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt. Production design is by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley based on an original concept by Adrian Vaux; costume design by Andreane Neofitou; lighting design by Bruno Poet; projections by Luke Halls; sound design by Mick Potter; and orchestrations by William David Brohn. Music supervision is by Alfonso Casado Trigo and Guy Simpson.
