LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A group of artists headed by Paul Eric Roca, a cartoonist of the Manila Bulletin, will hold an art summit dubbed Kamalayan Artist's Initiative Art Summit from Thursday, February 22, to Saturday, February 24, in a popular mall here.

Roca said that the event aims to bring artists together to celebrate National Arts Month. It is also the first step towards shaping and designing an art festival in the province, he said.

The summit features artists from this city, Tayabas City, Lucban, and Mauban. The exhibit will be followed by a live panel discussion on the current landscape of the arts and actionable insights on how individuals and communities can contribute to their growth and resilience.

Roca added that the summit seeks to unite local artists, create collaborative platform for creativity that encourages respectful and sincere connections among artists to reach wider audience, and create an environment for artistic freedom.

KAI Arts Summit will be held in collaboration with the Lucena Council for Culture and the Arts, Lucban Artist Group, Ugnayan ng Artistang Tayabasin, and Mauban Arts and Crafts.
