Police apprehend 62 wanted in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“ Police apprehended 62 wanted individuals during manhunt operations in the Cordillera region from February 11 to 17.

The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said the Baguio City Police Office nabbed 23 fugitives, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office with 10, Ifugao and Mountain Province PPOs with seven each, Abra PPO with six, Kalinga PPO with five, and Apayao PPO with four.

Nine individuals were most wanted persons â€“ three on the provincial level, four on the municipal level, and one each on the city and station levels.

Fifty-two municipalities and one police station in Baguio City were peaceful during the week as a result of intensified police presence.

Zero crime incidents were recorded in 22 municipalities in Abra, three in Apayao, eight in Mountain Province, five in Kalinga, and seven each in Benguet and Ifugao.

Police Station 8 (Kennon Road) recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City.
