MMDA apprehends 29 traffic violators, tows 8 vehicles in QC


Eight illegally-parked vehicles were towed while 29 traffic violators were apprehended by members of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) during a clearing operation on Tuesday, February 20, along Veterans Village, Quezon City.

The Special Operation Group Strike Force conducted the clearing operation after a citizen complained about the illegally parked vehicles on the streets that were reportedly blocking the roads in Veterans Village.

MMDA Officer-in-Charge Gabriel Go said that they received a complaint for double parking that had been causing congestion on the streets.

Upon receiving the complaint, the MMDA personnel immediately coordinated with the barangay officials.

The towed vehicles were brought to the impounding area in Tumana, Marikina City.
