Marcos lauds 'good' intel operations amid alleged destabilization plots
President Marcos believes his administration's intelligence services are "doing a good job" amid the alleged destabilization plots against him.

Marcos said because of the amount of threats that must be watched, including external threats, the government's intelligence response needs improvement, and he deems it effective at present.
"Pinagtibay talaga natin ang ating (We really strengthened our) intelligence services and response better than it was before. So, because marami nang ibang bagong kailangan bantayan (there are a lot of threats that must be watched), so, yes we have been doing a good job," Marcos said in an interview on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
He, however, stressed that intelligence services should not be talked about openly "because it's supposed to be clandestine."
He also said that the country's intelligence services are actually directed towards external threats as "those are more serious as far as we are concerned."
Asked if dodging destabilization threats could mean he is not a weak leader, the President said the most important thing is he gets more things done.
"Well, we get things done. We get more things done than most other people so I think that's the most important thing," he said.
"I do not know how you will define one or the other but ang importante naman niyan (what's important is), we're here to serve. As long as we're able to do that then we are effective," he added.
