Not content with the highly competitive crossover segments, GAC is expanding its offerings with the launch of its latest model, the M8 premium seven-seater MPV. The M8 aspires to offer comfort, style, practicality, and luxury in the form of a premium MPV that offers both legroom and headroom whether the passengers are busy professionals or families seeking a spacious yet safe means of mobility.

Designed to impress

The M8 boasts of an imposing exterior, drawing inspiration from the majestic oriental lion. 

Every detail of the M8's exterior has been meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of luxury and refinement, making it a standout choice for those who appreciate the finer things in life. The front fascia is dominated by a large grille reminiscent of a lion's mane. On either side of it are meticulously details LED headlights to give it a distinct look as well as bright illumination. 

Along the side, the M8 bears a graceful silhouette with chrome accents. It rides on 18-inch wheels with a design chosen to complement its overall aesthetic. Power sliding doors allow the passengers to truly make an entrance.

Behind, the LED taillights mirror the intricate design language seen upfront for a cohesive and visually striking impression. On the roof is a subtle yet sophisticated spoiler.

Indulgent amenities

The interior is designed to maximize comfort and convenience for both the driver and passengers alike. It comes in a 2-2-3 seating configuration. This allows the driver to enjoy a 12-way power adjustable seat. He also gets a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel for trip information. The front passenger gets a four-way power adjustable seat. Both front seats are equipped with ventilation and heating functions.

In the second row, passengers get Captain’s Seats with eight-way adjustment, including 4-way adjustment for the leg rests. There’s also seat position memory to easily return to their preferred settings with the touch of a button.They also get fold-out tray tables perfect for working on laptops or enjoying a meal on the go. Furthermore, these seats are ventilated and heated, complete with seat massage functionality. Illuminated pedals make them practical even when used at night. 

The third row comes with a central armrest and 4-way manual adjustment. The 40/60 split folding feature allows it to easily accommodate passengers or cargo.

Convenience and technology

In-car entertainment comes in the form of a massive 14.6-inch multi-functional touch screen with smartphone integration, including support for both Apple and Android devices. It’s connected to an eight-speaker audio system delivers crystal-clear sound.

The cabin is made especially quiet thanks to the soundproof front windshield and front and second-row glass windows. It’s cooled by a three-zone auto air-conditioning system with fragrance for optimal comfort. Multi-color intelligent ambient lighting allows passengers to customize the interior ambiance to their liking.

A multitude of charging options ensures mobile devices stay powered throughout the journey. There’s various USB ports and a wireless charger available throughout the vehicle.

Driving a van may be imposing for some, yet the built-in safety features of the M8, make it especially worry-free. The M8 is equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-start Hold Control (HHC), and Hill Descent Control (HDC). The Electronic Parking Brake feature comes with an autohold functionality for added convenience when at stoplights and to prevent unintended rolling.

Front-row seatbelts feature pretensioners and force limiters with height adjustment, along with crash locking tongue (CLT) technology. Second and third-row seatbelts also incorporate pretensioners and force limiters. The third-row boasts of a three-point seatbelt configuration for all occupants. Additionally, dual front SRS airbags, side airbags, and side curtain airbags offer comprehensive protection, supplemented by rear windscreen airbags for added safety.

The M8 is also equipped with advanced driving assistance systems like a rear-view camera system, surround view camera system, and Fusion Automatic Parking Assist (FAPA) to enhance visibility and aid in parking maneuvers. 

Also included are Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Intelligent Speed Limit Adaptive Cruise Control (ISL-ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), and Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Breaking (RCTB), and Rear Car Approaching Warning (RAW).

Under the hood, the M8 has a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering an impressive 248-horsepower and 400-Newton-meters of torque. Price, variants, and warranty

The GAC M8 MPV will be offered in two variants at the following price points. The 2.0L M8 GL Master is priced at P2,998,000. The 2.0L M8 GX Master is priced at P3,948,000. Each M8 purchased comes with aftersales warranty for the first five (5) years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
