Bullet Jalosjos, Bong Suntay break silence on Dominic Roque rumors
At a glance
Mayor Bullet Jalosjos and former Congressman Bong Suntay have finally spoken up after being linked to the breakup issue of celebrity couple Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.
Jalosjos and Suntay discussed the issue during an interview with newsman Jay Ruiz on YouTube on Feb. 19.
"More than 10 years na kaming magkakakilala. Magkaka barkada talaga kami. Nag umpisa yan sa pagmomotor at nagkakarera kami sa Clark. And then we became good friends. Mga businesses, nagtutulungan kami," said Jalosjos.
"Kaya nakakapagtaka na umabot sa ganito at genders na namin ang pinagkakaguluhan ng marami. Nagtatanong kung lalaki ba talaga kami? Nakakatawa lang yung issue, Pinagtatawanan na lang namin. It's a good time rin to clarify things. Yung totoo lang para malaman din nila.
Suntay agreed with Jalosjos, saying they became friends due to similar passions. "We're riding motorcycles, cars at masasaya kaming magkakasama."
That passion led to forming a group called "Euro Monkeys," whose members include Dingdong Dantes, Richard Gutierrez, and Kim Atienza, said Suntay.
When asked about rumors that he is supporting Roque, Jalosjos smiled and replied: "Ang pangit naman."
Jalosjos admitted that he owns the condo where Roque stays.
"Ang totoo, yung condo akin talaga yun. I had it for quite sometime. Congressman pa lamang ako. Pre-selling pa lang nakuha ko na yan. Dalawa yan. Ginawa ko siyang airbnb. But because of the pandemic, pinagbawalan kami na mag open para gawing airbnb.
"Then si Dom, bilang barkada, he asked me if he can have it rented. Hindi ko naman ginagamit kasi I stay in another place now and I live in Alabang, so ipina-rent natin sa barkada natin for a good price.
"Natawa na lamang ako nung tumalon yung issue from business to binahay. Sana naman itong mga nagkakalat na claiming na mga batikang journalists, sana ingat din. They have a responsibility to the people. Dapat fact-finding.
"Hindi yung nalaman nila na nasa pangalan ko yung condo 'sugar daddy;' na ako bigla. Hindi ba puwedeng ni-re-rent? Binebenta? Tumalon agad. Gina-gaslight nila yung issue.
"Naawa rin kami kay Dom. Affected na nga yung tao sa. breakup, ili-link pa kami sa kanya. So kami pinagtatawanan na lang namin.
"Pero kami at some point, kailangang tumigil. These people have to be reprimanded. Kailangan may consequences din. May batas tayo eh," said Jalosjos.
Asked about the rental fee, Jalosjos said: "Usually a unit like mine, nasa P100,000 plus. Pero ang naging usapan namin ni Dom, 50 percent lang, provided na aayusin niya. So inayos niya lahat. Yung pinakita niya sa video, from the ground up? Inayos niya yun."
Jalosjos said that Roque has been staying in the condo for three years.
On the proof of billing, Jalosjos also said he waited several months before Roque made the deposit.
Suntay, President of Clean Fuel, said Roque has been hired as ambassador of the company. "Walang katotohanan na binigyan siya ng gasolinahan."
He added: "Noong una natatawa ako eh. Nakakakuha ng libreng advertisement ang Clean Fuel. At dumami ang followers ko. Nakita ko rin ang followers ni Mayor Bullet, pasikat na rin siya ngayon. Siguro pagkatapos ng contract ni Dom, si Bullet naman ang kukunin kong endorser."
At the end of the video, Jalosjos mentioned that he would take legal action regarding the matter.
On Feb. 11, Alonzo and Roque jointly announced that they have mutually decided to amicably end their engagement.
The former celebrity couple also slammed the ridiculous stories related to their breakup that had no basis and were utterly false.
