24-year-old man stabbed dead in Sta. Cruz, Manila

A 24-year-old man was stabbed dead by another man following a heated argument in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Monday, Feb. 19.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as Angelo Rodriguez, a resident of Barangay Maysilo, Malabon City, and the suspect as Allen Reyes, 39, a resident of Barangay 366, Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Investigation disclosed that before the incident, the victim and the suspect had an argument. They were pacified by the barangay council.

However, the victim went back to the area and stabbed the suspect who also fought back with a knife.

The victim ran away from the suspect but fell on the ground bloodied. 

Both of them were rushed to Jose Reyes Hospital but Rodriguez was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect, who is still confined in the hospital, was placed under arrest, while the police were still preparing appropriate charges against him.
