Woman arrested for helping live-partner rape daughter

CAMP Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan â€“ Police arrested a 32-year-old woman on Thursday, February 1, for allegedly helping her live-in partner rape her minor daughter for the past two years in Cauayan City, Isabela.

The suspect, Ruby, considered the No. 1 most wanted person in Cagayan Valley or Region 2, was nabbed through a warrant issued by Judge Mary Jane Socan Soriano, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 19, Cauayan City, for nine counts of rape with no recommended bail.

Her live-in partner was arrested last December for the same case.

The victim was raped starting in 2022 and was raped nine times in 2023.

Police said Ruby and her live-in partner took the victim to a hotel last year where she was raped.

Suspects were turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Police Lt. Col. Ernesto Nebalasca Jr., Cauayan City police chief, said.
