BACOLOD CITY – Two rape suspects were arrested by the police in Negros Occidental on Thursday, February 1.
In Victorias City, a 17-year-old boy tagged as the second most wanted person (MWP) in the city was arrested in Hacienda Jojamar, Barangay 10.
Suspect was arrested on a warrant with no bail recommended issued by Presiding Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson Trocio of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 40 in Silay City on January 24.
In Hinoba-an, a 19-year-old man tagged as sixth MWP in the town was arrested in Purok Hilltop, Barangay Damutan.
The arrest warrant with no bail recommended was issued by Presiding Judge Edwin Balanday of the RTC Branch 77 in Sipalay City on December 18.
Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, director of the Police Regional Office-6, urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities.
Our commitment to upholding justice and protecting our community remains steadfast, Villaflor said, as he commended the swift and decisive action of the police in apprehending individuals involved in sex crimes.
