Palace urges private sector to stem tide of child hunger, malnutrition
Malacañang has encouraged businesses to be more involved in helping the government to alleviate hunger among children in the country.

In order to get the private sector's participation, the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation tied up with SM Foundation for an anti-hunger program dubbed Batang Busog Malusog Nutrition Program.
Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation Secretary Larry Gadon forged the collaboration on Monday, Feb. 19.
The nutrition program which is also called "BBM Nutritional Program" is an initiative of the office of Gadon to encourage business and private sectors to be more involved in helping the government to alleviate hunger especially among children.
The Palace and SM Foundation sealed the collaboration with contract signing between Gadon and Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing Joaquin San Agustin and Assistant Vice President for Outreach Program Cristina Angeles.
It can be recalled that Gadon pitched the BBM nutritional program upon assuming his post in Malacañang in June last year. It aims to prioritize school children to address malnutrition that also affects their academic performance.
