Lapu-Lapu City police boost drive vs crime via 'Tsip Tok' program
CEBU CITY – Police in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu continue to reach out to suspected drug pushers, users, and toughies to bolster their anti-criminality campaign.

'TSIP TOK' was launched in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu by the police to bolster the anti-crime campaign.
The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office headed by Police Col. Elmer Lim on Sunday, February 18, conducted a dialogue at the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Complex with at least 200 individuals who signed up for its peace and order program called “Tsip Tok.”
According to Police Patrolman Davin Charles Esta, focal person of Tsip Tok, some of those who joined the program were in the watchlist of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
Known toughies in their neighborhood and suspected drug pushers and ushers were called peace advocates.
Esta said there are also good citizens who joined the program.
He said that Tsip in the program refers to the police while Tok represents dialog. Tok was spelled as such in reference to the popular social media platform TikTok.
Esta added that those who committed to join the program came from the 30 barangays in Lapu-Lapu City.
Under the program, the LLCPO will hold regular open dialogues with peace advocates to establish bond and camaraderie and monitor their activities.
The dialogue seeks to demonstrate an overall friendly but authoritative presence in the localities to prevent them from resorting to violence or crime.
Other stakeholders such as businessmen and force multipliers joined the dialogue.
Esta said the program was launched in June last year and already has at least 700 members.
