The confiscation of the huge amount of illegal drugs came after Gov. Aris Aumentado vowed that the anti-illegal drug campaign in the province will be intensified.
The illegal drugs weighing 2.15 kilos were seized from a certain Jason, who was cornered by operatives of the Dauis Police Station and Intelligence Unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office in Barangay Mayacabac.
Police said the suspect, a native of Barangay San Isidro, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, was considered as a high-value individual.
Police Lt. Thomas Zen Cheung, chief of the Dauis police, said they monitored the suspect for two weeks after they received reports about his involvement in illegal drug activities.
Cheung said further investigation will be conducted to identify the suspect’s cohorts and clients.
He added it was the second time that the suspect was arrested as he was also jailed in 2016 for the same offense.
