DepEd alert: Beware of false scholarship offers circulating online
The Department of Education (DepEd) on Monday, Feb. 19, issued a stern warning to the public regarding the proliferation of fake scholarship posts on various online platforms.

“DepEd reminds everyone to stay vigilant against misinformation,” the agency said in a Facebook post.

DepEd urged students and parents to exercise caution when encountering scholarship offers online, advising them to verify the credibility of the sponsoring organization or institution and to seek guidance from trusted sources such as school officials or DepEd's verified channels on Facebook: fb.com/DeparmentOfEducation.PH; on X: twitter.com/DepEd_PH; on Instagram: instagram.com/depedphilippines; and on its website: www.deped.gov.ph.
DepEd also called on students and parents to promptly report fraudulent content and prevent its dissemination.
“Please report any misleading and suspicious information about basic education to [email protected],” DepEd said.
