Coconut vendor nabbed in Bacolod drug sting

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay Punta Taytay here on Monday, February 19.

Police identified the suspect as coconut vendor Mikko Tajo, 32, of Barangay Punta Taytay.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, City Drug Enforcement Unit head, said they received complaints from the community about the suspect’s illegal drug activities.

An entrapment operation was planned and Tajo was caught after he sold suspected shabu to police poseur-buyer for P500.

The suspect yielded 22 grams of suspected shabu worth P149,600.

Mogato said that other police units also attempted to arrest him but he would transfer from one place to another if he sensed that he is being monitored by authorities.

Drug charges will be filed against the suspect on Tuesday, February 20.
