Man yields gun at LRT station in Antipolo City

A man is under police custody after he was found possessing a .45 caliber pistol at the Masinag Station of the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT2) in Antipolo City, Saturday afternoon.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) said that a 40-year old man was arrested by policemen detailed at the LRT Station after the train security personnel manning the X-Ray machine found a gun in the backpack of the suspect.

Upon confirming the presence of the firearm in the suspect’s bag, LRT security personnel immediately sought assistance from the policemen resulting in the suspect’s arrest.

Charges of illegal possession of firearm is set to be filed against the suspect on Monday.
