Easterlies to continue to bring warm weather across PH
As the easterlies continue to affect the eastern part of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Feb. 18, that warm weather will continue to be felt across the archipelago.

In its live weather forecast, PAGASA specialist Grace Castañeda said the northeast monsoon, locally known as "amihan," which causes cold weather, is not affecting the country as of Sunday.
"Dahil hindi na nakakaapekto ang amihan sa anomang bahagi ng ating bansa ay medyo mainit ang ating mararanasang panahon lalo na sa tanghali (As the northeast monsoon does not affect any parts of the country, slightly hot weather will be experienced especially at noon time)," Castañeda said.
PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and the localized thunderstorms.
It warned the public of flash floods or landslides that may occur in high-risk areas during severe thunderstorms.
