Kapuso stars Beauty Gonzalez and Kelvin Miranda, who became popular for their May-December affair on the GMA 7's anthology series "Stories from the Heart" titled "Loving Ms. Bridgette," are set to reunite in a new romantic movie entitled "After All."

During a media conference on Feb. 16, Beauty mentioned that she had intimate scenes with Kelvin in the movie. However, Kelvin provided guidance during those scenes.

"Si Kevin na ang nag guide sa akin. He's a big boy. But I'm comfortable na working with Kelvin because this is our third project together. He's a gentleman and he takes care of me on the set," Beauty said.

Beauty, 32, mentioned that she enjoys working with Kelvin because he is an attractive actor.

"Ang gwapo-gwapo niya, kaya hindi na ako nahirapan magkipagwork sa kanya. I mean let's bet realistic Kelvin is  good-looking," she added.

Kelvin, 25, said the latest project helped him become more comfortable with Beauty, as he was a little nervous during their initial project together.

"Naging comportable na rin ako, kasi before namin gawin ito, dun sa Loving Miss Bridgette, meron din kami kissing scene dun pero at that time sobrang kabado ako nun. Nanginginig at hindi ako mapakali pero tinulungan naman ako ni direk (Adolf) at beauty nung time na yun, kaya this time around gamay ko na yung gagawin ko," Kelvin said.

(I was comfortable because before we did this, on Loving Miss Bridgette. We also had a kissing scene there but at that time I was very nervous. I was shaking, but the director (Adolf) and Beauty helped me at that time, so this time around I already knew what I needed to do.)

Director Adolf Alix Jr. acknowledged the undeniable onscreen chemistry between Kelvin and Beauty.

"I think hindi ko din magdidikta yung chemistry between them, kasi nga nung unang kissing scene nila medyo kinakabahan pa si Kelvin. Pero in this project the film goes on dun ko masasabi na may magic yung chemistry nilang dalawa, lalo na nung naging successful yung Loving Miss Bridgette. But dito sa After All syempre mas mature na ng konti," Adolf said.

(I don't think I should describe the chemistry between the characters in detail, as Kelvin was a bit nervous during their first kissing scene. However, in the project as a whole, their chemistry is magical, especially since 'Loving Miss Bridgette' was a success. In 'After All', their roles are more mature, so the chemistry may be different.)

The movie explores the concept of eternal love, soulmates, and reincarnation. It aims to convey the idea of relationships that last forever.

One twist in the story is a May-December affair with an unlikely third person.

One of the creatives of the film, Gina Marissa Tagasa, wants to highlight that love is eternal and forever can happen to some people, despite the reincarnation elements in the film.

"More than the reincarnation elements, I'd like to believe na eternal pa rin ang love, mag nagtatagal pa rin. So, kahit baduy yung forever, pwede pa rin naman mangyari yun," Gina said.

(More than the reincarnation elements, I'd like to believe that love is still eternal, some love stories still last. So, even if forever is called "baduy", that can still happen)

Produced by ALV Films, "After All" also features Teejay Marquez, Devon Seron, comedienne Tart Carlos, Juan Carlos Galano, former Miss World Philippines queens Dindi Pajares, Katrina Llegado and Riana Pangindian.

GMA-7 Sparkle artists Bella Thompson and Kiko Ipapo, former PBB Otso housemate and content creator Lienel Navidad, and veteran stars Bembol Roco and Elizabeth Oropesa.

Arnold Vegafria, president of ALV Films and producer of "After All," expressed his excitement over the local movie industry's growing resurgence, as seen in the latest 2023 MMFF box-office statistics.

"Hopefully, we at ALV Films can come up with truly unique storylines, and maybe even collaborate with some foreign productions who share our vision for movie magic," Arnold shared in a statement.

"After All" opens in cinemas nationwide on Feb. 28
