BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested a suspected drug pusher and dismantled a drug den in a buy-bust operation in Purok Magtiayon, Barangay 10, this city, on Friday, February 16.

Intelligence Agent V Cornelio Espartero of the PDEA-Negros Occidental identified the suspect as Romeo Cañete, 49, an e-bike driver.
Espartero said that Cañete was monitored for about two weeks following reports on his illegal drug activities.
He said three patrons, including a senior high school student, were also apprehended for holding a pot session during the operation.
Seized from them were 13 grams of suspected shabu worth P88,400, P500 marked money, a pair of scissors, lighters, an improvised tooter, and P200.
Espartero said that drug charges will be filed against the suspects on Monday, February 19, after which they will be transported to the PDEA-Western Visayas office in Iloilo City for custody.
