Last week, real estate developer Ayala Lands unveiled a series of public art pieces all over Makati City. The launch marked the start of their immersive walking art tour entitled “10 Days of Art: Art Walk by Ayala Land.”

Among the pieces highlighted during the event are Isaiah Cacnio’s Prismatic Embrace, Leeroy New’s Elemento, Derek Tumala’s A Warm Orange-Colored Liquid, and an exhibit by Fotomoto. Cacnio’s work draws inspiration from the royal garments worn by Jesus Christ. According to Cacnio, the colors symbolize the radical transformation that unfolds when we open our hearts to divine light. For New’s Elemento, the piece highlights making art through sustainable means by using recyclable materials. Meanwhile, Tumala’s majestic solar-powered model of the Sun is made of recycled pulp paper and metal structure. It’s best enjoyed at night, glowing in all its glory. Finally, the Fotomoto exhibit can be observed along the Legazpi Underpass. The video installation displays selected prints by E.S.L. Chen, Wawi Navarroza, Steve Tirona, and MM Yu.
