A 43-year-old woman who was about to board her car was shot dead in front of a coffee shop in Parañaque City on Thursday night, Feb. 15.
According to Southern Police District (SPD), the victim identified as Yolanda was shot dead at around 6:11 p.m. in front of a coffee shop located along Gatchalian, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
The SPD said Parañaque City Police Chief Col. Reycon Garduque reported that the victim together with her two sons were about to board their car when approached by the suspect identified as alias "Francisco," 40, former Philippine Army Reservist.
Garduque said the victim was rushed to the Olivarez Hospital but was declared dead on arrival due to several gunshot wounds in the head.
He said the suspect was positively identified by Yolanda’s sons who claimed that after the shooting incident fled in an unknown direction.
Before the incident, a report showed that the victim filed a case against alias Winnie for violation against women and children acts.
Garduque said after filing the case against Winnie, the victim received death threats from Francisco.
Police are still conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect.
