PCSO General Manager Mel Robles and Mayor Francis Zamora
Zamora personally went to the PCSO head office to meet with PCSO General Manager Mel Robles for the turnover of 25 blood pressure monitoring devices, 25 nebulizers, 25 glucose meters, 10 thermal scanners, and 10 pulse oximeter to the city government. San Juaneños will also be receiving 25 wheelchairs, 15 walkers, 15 canes, and 15 crutches courtesy of the agency.
"Kami po ay natutuwa na binigyan nyo kami ng pagkakataong makatulong sa inyo sapagkat yan po talaga ang aming mandato, kami po ay ginawa ng batas upang makapagbigay ng kawanggawa (We are happy to be given the chance to help San Juaneños because this is what our mandate means. We were created by law to give help and assistance to those in need)," Robles said.
"Bukod sa medical assistance natin sa mga naoospital, meron din po tayong educational assistance. So kung kayo po ay kapos sa inyong tuition o sa pang enroll, pwede kayong lumapit dito (Aside from medical assistance for those who are hospitalized, we also have educational assistance for those who are need of monetary aid for their tuition and enrollment fees)," he added.
Zamora said the city government will soon announce the necessary requirements and procedures on how to avail of the donated medical equipment from the PCSO stressing that proper documentation is needed as the donations came from the government.
"Kinakailangan madocument natin ito ng mabuti kung sino ang mga tatanggap and we will make sure that those in need will be the beneficiaries of what the PCSO has donated to the city of San Juan (We have to document properly those who will be receiving these medical aids and we will make sure that those in need will be the beneficiaries of what the PCSO has donated to the city of San Juan)," Zamora noted.
