This weekend will be warm with some rains for most of PH — PAGASA
Most of the archipelago may experience rising temperatures along with some rains as warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will prevail this weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration (PAGASA) said in its weekly weather outlook released on Friday, Feb. 16.
PAGASA said the country, except for extreme northern Luzon, may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, most likely in the afternoon or evening due to the easterly winds.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, also known as “amihan,” may only affect extreme northern Luzon, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated light rains.
From Sunday to Friday, Feb. 18 to 23, PAGASA said the effect of the amihan will weaken and the easterly winds will prevail throughout the country.
This weather system will bring warm temperatures and a few rain showers.
“Expect mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao,” PAGASA said.
“Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening,” it added.
