TACLOBAN CITY – Suspected shabu valued at P1.8 million was seized from a welder in a buy-bust operation here on Valentine's Day.

Police Col. Michael Palermo, city police chief, identified the suspect as Kenneth Labong.
Palermo said they consider Labong a high-value target in the illegal drugs trade.
Labong yielded a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu, 17 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu, and two knot-tied plastic sachets with shabu.
The suspect who had been subjected to inquest proceedings has been charged with violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
