Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon slammed critics of the administration for overlooking its achievements as he lauded President Marcos for doing his best to make the Philippines a successful country.

Gadon said this during the anniversary of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in Quezon City on Feb. 14.
In his speech, Gadon noted how the administration continues to be hounded by controversies by critics who fail to mention the President's achievements.
“We are facing again negativism and a lot of criticism against our President and the administration, but they do not mention that our inflation rate now is 2.8 percent, very low from 2020— from 2019, actually," Gadon said.
"It hit almost eight percent in the last administration. Hindi ko naman sila bini-blame (I cannot blame them) because of the pandemic. But from a high of eight percent to 2.8 percent, that is already something that we should be happy about,” he added.
Like PhilHealth which employs and appoints personnel necessary for its operations, Gadon said the the Marcos administration was able to provide jobs to its people.
“Our employment rate now is 96.9 percent, this is the highest employment rate in 18 years. 'Di ba napakagandang achievement ng administration yun (Isn't that a wonderful achievement of this administration)?" he said.
"In 18 years, ngayon lang nagkaroon ng employment rate na ganyan (This is the first time that we reached that figure in 18 years),” he added.
According to Gadon, the administration's successes would help the country achieve its goal.
“These things will of course help us in nation-building and in attaining our aspiration to become a successful country," he said.
