Cordillera cops net P46.8-M shabu, marijuana

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“ The Police Regional Office-Cordillera seized suspected shabu and marijuana valued at P46,853,979 and arrested six suspected drug pushers in buy-bust operations in the region from February 5 to 13.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera chief, said the Kalinga Provincial Police Office seized six grams of suspected shabu and 233,750 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P28,090,800 on February 8.

Peredo said police also seized 37,100 fully-grown marijuana plants valued at P7,420,000 in 13 plantations during eradication operations in Benguet.

On February 13, Peredo said 55,950 FGMPs worth P11,190,000 were seized in eradication operations in Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

Four drug pushers were arrested in Baguio City, Abra, and Benguet and recovered from them were 21.24 grams of shabu and 7.73 grams of marijuana fruiting tops valued at P145,359.60.

Two drug pushers were also arrested in a buy-bust operation in the province of Abra and were caught with 0.34 grams of shabu worth P7,820.
