- The DAR distributed 3,184 land titles to representatives of the 2,769 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), covering 4,659 hectares of agricultural land in five provinces in the Caraga region.
In fear of being haunted by the ghost of his namesake father, President Marcos vowed to finish distributing lands to beneficiaries before he stepped down in 2028.

Marcos said this as he led the distribution of land electronic titles (E-Titles) and Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs), as well as the turnover of certificates of farm-to-market roads (FMRs) and farm machinery and equipment (FMEs) to beneficiaries in Agusan Del Sur on Friday, Feb. 16.
In his speech, the President said that he and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will work to finish what their ancestors started as their ghosts might haunt them if they don't.
"Agrarian reform, that was his first na pinirmahan na batas (law that he signed). Ang kanyang kasama (Joining him) was the Agrarian Reform secretary, ang lolo naman ni (the grandfather of Secretary) Conrad Estrella— Secretary Conrado Estrella," he said.
"Noong natapos na ang kampanya, at nag-uusap kaming dalawa, sabi ko, 'Mumultuhin tayo ng ating mga ninuno pag hindi natin tinapos ang kanilang sinimulan (When the campaign ended, we talked and I told him that our ancestors will haunt us if we don't finish what they started),'" he added.
With this, Marcos vowed that his administration will see to it that lands will be distributed to all the beneficiaries before his term ends in 2028.
"Sinumpa namin na tatapusin namin ang pagbigay ng agrarian reform beneficiaries sa kanilang lahat... bago kami bababa sa aming mga posisyon (We promised to complete the agrarian reform for all beneficiaries... before we stepped down from our positions)," he said.
