The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) awarded the Pasay City government with a plaque of commendation for its unique and innovative practices related to environment, land use, and urban planning.
The city government of Pasay was among the local government units in the National Capital Region (NCR) that were awarded during the department's 5th year anniversary celebration on Feb. 14 held at DHSUD Building on Mayaman St. corner Kalayaan Avenue, Quezon City.
The department's celebration carries the theme “ DHSUD@5: Ligtas at Matibay na sisilungan para sa bawa’t Pilipino”.
Pasay City Mayot Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the DHSUD awarded the city for taking the initiative to use best practices in urban planning and design.
“We have witnessed first- hand the positive transformations that are brought forth by land use and urban planning. It is in this light that we continue advocating for collaboration, communication, and coordination, with our end goal to be always Empowered, Motivated, and Innovative (EMI). All this, through our honest to goodness Tapat na Paglilingkod,”said Rubiano.
