Woman caught with shabu in private part

CEBU CITY — A 27-year-old woman was arrested after she tried to sneak in a pack of suspected shabu into the Mandaue City Jail hidden in her private part on Tuesday, February 13.

The woman was identified as Genalyn Ople, a resident of Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Investigation said Ople arrived at the detention facility to visit her partner. 

The woman went through the routine procedure and when checked at the search room, something protruded from her private part.

Jail personnel checked and found a condom containing a cellphone and a pack of shabu.

Ople told investigators that a man whom she believed was an acquaintance of her husband instructed her to bring the contraband inside the facility.

She said she regretted agreeing to bring the contraband and expressed fear that she could no longer look after their children now that she and her partner are already in jail.
