CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – Police arrested a man after he was found out to be a wanted person while obtaining a police clearance at the Bay, Laguna police station on Wednesday, February 14.
The suspect, Genesis, a resident of Bay, was the seventh most wanted person on the provincial level, said Police Col. Gauvin Unos, Laguna police director.
The Bay Municipal Police Station said Genesis went to the police station to obtain a police clearance for a job application.
However, police found out during confirmation with the e-warrant system of the Philippine National Police that the suspect had a pending warrant of arrest for rape issued by the Binan City Regional Trial Court Branch 25 with no bail recommended.
Suspect is under the custody of the Bay police and the court of origin has been informed of his arrest.
