About “The Heirs,” Park Hyung-sik said, “That drama is almost 10 years old, but I came to realize how much love we've gotten from it.”
“A lot of people were saying like, ‘So did Eunsang end up with Myungsoo?’ There are people who are still into that drama. Since our drama became available on Netflix recently, a lot of people contacted me that they've seen it again,” said Park Shin-hye.
Host Jang Do-yeon commented that the two haven’t changed much in their appearance.
“I felt the same looking at her. We haven't met in a while and she looked the same as 10 years ago,” said Park Hyung-sik to which Park Shin-hye replied, “He hasn't changed at all too!”
On working together again after “The Heirs,” Park Hyung-sik said, “Well... You should consider it our first time working together because we didn't have many scenes together before.”
Park Shin-hye revealed that “he was so busy back then. He was so busy that as soon as he got off the plane, he came straight to the set from the airport.”
“I came straight to the set to make peace signs...Since I had to leave after shooting one scene, my fans made a joke by saying, ‘Are you a Hollywood star or something?’ I had to perform in music shows, shoot variety shows,” he said.
“Doctor Slump”
In “Doctor Slump,” Park Shin-hye plays the role of Nam Ha-neul, an anesthesiologist while Park Hyung-sik is Yeo Jeong-woo, a plastic surgeon. They became rivals in high school and met again.
“So we were actually rivals in high school with scores. We are both doctors, and Ha-neul, the character I play, has so much on her shoulders and hopes to become happier after each surgery until she is finally burnt out and let's go of everything,” said Park Shin-hye.
Park Hyung-sik said, “I play a character named Yeo Jeong-woo. As the son of a wealthy doctor, he has a well-off life where he could do anything he wants until he gets involved in the worst accident and faces the worst slump of his life.”
Park Shin-hye said she was nervous filming for “Doctor Slump” since it was her first project after a long break.
“It's because... I usually sleep super well, but I couldn't fall asleep because I was too nervous. 'Will I be able to sound natural when saying my lines?' That was what I was worried about. I think I took too long of a break. But after a week, I got so used to it,” said Park Shin-hye who se last drama was “Sisyphus: The Myth” in 2021.
She marked her 20th year in showbusiness last year and held a fan meeting to celebrate the milestone.
