Ford Philippines recently shared a curious video teaser on their Facebook page which has sent Ford fans into a frenzy. The short clip showed a black horse running around with dramatic lighting soon cut to the iconic Mustang and Bronco logos. “Soon” and “Catch these icons soon” is all the post revealed, hinting that these popular vehicles may very well be landing on our shores in the next few months, with the company most likely revealing them at this year’s Manila International Auto Show.
Mustang
The Ford Mustang, one of America’s most legendary performance cars, will likely arrive in the Philippines with the 2.3-liter turbocharged Ecoboost engine, with the V8 likely showing up much later. Ford may bring both engine types as an offering to meet different buyers needs in terms of both power and economy considerations. The Ecoboost is the more practical power unit, but the V8 offers more horsepower with that classic muscle car sound & feel.
Bronco
The reborn 6th-generation Ford Bronco, originally released abroad in 2021, will come to the Philippines with an updated, retro-inspired design and modern engineering to keep its off-road credentials intact. It could feature either the 2.3 liter turbocharged Ecoboost engine or the more powerful 2.7-liter V6 turbocharged engine, both of which would make this car suitable for city driving as well as for off-road adventures. Maybe later on the Bronco Raptor could make it here as well, with its 418 PS engine and up to 14-inches of suspension travel.
The brand’s plan in bringing these models is an indication of its desire to provide buyers with more choices, with the Mustang appealing to enthusiasts looking for a high-performance car, and the Bronco delighting off-road enthusiasts. Market disruption is a good thing, for sure.
Reserve Online
Interested customers and enthusiasts of the all-new Bronco and the all-new Mustang can reserve these vehicles starting February 22 on www.ford.com.ph. A reservation fee of P30,000 is required and is deductible from the total vehicle pricing.
As everyone waits for more details regarding when these cars will become available and their costs, Ford Philippines' teaser gives car enthusiasts hope of exciting new options to arrive soon on the market. Both the new Ford Bronco and Mustang models promise something exciting for car fans looking for performance, history, and off-road capability.
