CEBU CITY – Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado vowed to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs in the province.

The illegal drug situation in the province was discussed when Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas Regional Director Emerson Margate visited him in his office on Thursday, February 15.
“During the meeting, we discussed that all regulations and laws that will reinforce the campaign against illegal drugs,” Aumentado said.
Aumentado said the anti-drug abuse council in every locality must be strengthened.
He said the province is eyeing Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials to be at the forefront of the illegal drugs campaign.
The meeting between Aumentado and Margate was held after a 43-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aliguay, Maribojoc, Bohol past midnight on Thursday.
The PDEA-Bohol Provincial Office identified the suspect as Godfrey Tare.
Tara yielded 21 packs of suspected shabu worth P714,000.
PDEA-Bohol described the suspect as a target-listed personality capable of selling 100 grams of shabu a week.
