What do Filipinos get from the PH government when they turn 100 years old?

Turning 100 years old is not something that just anyone can achieve.
As a tribute to the longevity of a Filipino who reaches 100 years old, whether they are living in the country or abroad, the Philippine government provides a one-time P100,000 cash incentive and a felicitation letter signed by the President of the Philippines.
For a deceased centenarian, a P100,000 cash gift and posthumous plaque of recognition may be received by the nearest surviving relative.
A report released in October 2023 by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) states that approximately 12,000 centenarians have received their incentive since the Centenarian Program, which was established by Republic Act No. 10868, also known as the Centenarians Act of 2016, took effect.
Verification process
Under the law, relatives of centenarians are required to submit primary documents, such as birth certificates and Philippine passports, to their local City or Municipal Social Welfare Office and/or the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA).
If the two documents are not available, any of the primary identification cards issued by OSCA, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), and Social Security System (SSS); a driver’s license; a Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) license; or a Commission on Elections (Comelec) Voter’s ID will suffice.
“In cases that the said identification documents are not available, the centenarian or their family members can submit any secondary documents such as marriage certificate, birth certificate of a child borne by the centenarian, among others,” said Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications and spokesperson Romel Lopez.
“The Centenarian Program represents our respect for our elderly and acknowledges the invaluable contributions they have made to society over the decades,” he added.
