"We're still verifying this report," DICT Assistant Secretary and Spokesperson Renato Aboy Paraiso said in a Viber message.

However, he noted that "we can say that we isolated our investigation to a regional office of the DepEd."

Meanwhile, the DepEd has instructed its field offices to conduct diagnostics and verify if there was indeed a hack.

"No report as of the moment as verification is ongoing," DepEd Spokesperson Michael Poa said in a Viber message.

"We will provide information as soon as we get them from our Regional and Division Information Officers," he added.
