Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan announced the launch of the Career Guidance Orientation program for all senior high school students in the city.

According to Bermejo, the program will cover about 9,000 students from a total of 27 schools.
The students will be coached on their decision whether to pursue a college education, begin a small business, or seek employment.
The seminar will be carried out for one whole month for free. Participants with be provided with free food.
At least 500 students have already benefited from the program during the career guidance orientation held at Raja Soliman Science and Technology High School.
The project is in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) - Division of City Schools of Manila and the school management.
"Isinagawa ang nasabing orientation upang gabayan at ihanda ang ating mga mag-aaral sa senior high school kung anong career path ang mga posible nilang tahakin tulad ng pagtuloy sa pag-aaral sa kolehiyo, pagtatrabaho at pagnenegosyo (The said orientation was conducted to guide and prepare our senior high school students on what career path they can take such as continuing to study in college, working and doing business)," Bermejo added.
The mayor said that the city government is continuously providing jobs to residents including senior citizens and persons with disability (PWDs).
Apart from the job fairs, the local government also helps hire residents through its help desks at "Kalinga sa Maynila" held in certain barangays.
The "Kalinga sa Maynila" is a regular forum being held by the mayor herself, bringing with her the heads of the different departments, offices, and bureaus whose basic services are most sought by the residents who go to the Manila City Hall.
