Maki celebrates his new single 'HBD' with Metro Manila stroll

Rising singer-songwriter Maki visited different parts of Metro Manila with a surprise performance of his latest single “HBD.”

Maki’s “HBD” busking event took place at UP Diliman, Maginhawa, Manila City Hall, and LRT United Nations southbound station where he serenaded the hearts of listeners with a life size birthday cake and even performed his hit single “Saan?”

The event, which also included the ABS-CBN Compound in its route, turned out to be an intimate and personal experience for his fans as he also gave balloons and donuts to those who came.

Last month, Maki released “HBD” which looks back on a former love’s birthday while contemplating whether to fight for love or to let it go. He also wrote the track with Nameless Kids’ lead vocalist Nhiko Sabiniano.

The Tarsier Records artist reached new heights with his latest EP “Tanong” which has earned over 75 million streams on Spotify while his latest single “HBD” immediately topped Spotify’s New Music Friday Philippines upon its release.
