Makati City to issue free certified true copies of documents on Civil Registration Month


In celebration of Civil Registration Month, the Makati City local government will issue free certified true copies of various personal and legal documents to Makatizens, the city government announced on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

The City Civil Registration Office (CCRO) will issue the following documents for free from Feb. 19-21:

- Birth Certificate
- Marriage Certificate
- Death Certificate
- Certificate of No Record

Individuals interested to avail of the service may proceed to the CCRO, 3rd floor of the Makati City Hall Building 1, or call 8870-1305, 8870-1361 or 8870-1364, 0917-8567494 or 0961-5015817 for other inquiries.

Aside from the free certified true copies of documents, the CCRO is also running a digital information campaign to update Makatizens on Civil Registration rules, procedures and requirements.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 issued on Jan. 28, 1991 by former Pres. Corazon Aquino declaring February of every year as Civil Registration Month, the order reminds Filipinos of their duty to register vital events in their life such as births, marriages, and deaths, as well as decrees, legal instruments, and judicial orders affecting their civil status.
